Basics of Diabetes Management ClassesCome learn the basics of diabetes management at our classes held the second Thursday of each month in the Jackson County Hospital Conference Room from noon to 1 p.m.
This free educational class is led by Dr. Diana Mercado, a board certified family physician who specializes in diabetes management.
Visit with our team of healthcare specialists, including: pharmacists, social workers, nurses and dietitians.
Registration is required to attend. Call 361-782-7800 to register. Lunch is provided, but RSVP is required.
First Aid/CPR CourseWe want you prepared for emergencies, so take our first aid and CPR course available each month at 6:30 p.m. at Jackson County Hospital Conference Room. Classes are designed for general public, day care workers and babysitters. Healthcare provider courses are also offered. Register by calling 361-782-7800. Registration fee: $45 (registration must be paid in advance and is non-refundable).
The Better Breathers ClubThis group meets the last Tuesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. in the Jackson County Hospital. Those with lung disease and their loved ones are invited to attend. Lunch is provided at no charge, so please RSVP to help with lunch count by calling 361-782-7813 and ask for Rosemary or Sherri. RSVP is not required to attend the meeting but is required for lunch arrangements.
