08.10.2011 - Blood Drive
JCHD will be hosting a Blood Drive Event on this date between the hours of 1:30PM - 3:45PM. In conjunction with JCHD, South Texas Blood and Tissue Center will be on premises brandishing the big blood bus on our lot. Blood donations will be collected from donors willing to spare some time and a few pints. All presenting donors will receive a "thank you" gift. Anyone who is 16 years old weighing 120lbs. (with parental consent form) or at least 17 years old weighing 110lbs. and in good general health can donate blood. Identification is required. 10.22.2011 - Relay For Life
The Jackson County Hospital District is a proud corporate sponsor of the American Cancer Relay for Life. This event supports the members of our community who are fighting the battle with cancer or who have fought the courageous battle with cancer. We invite you to the Edna High School Stadium October 23rd at 6 pm to participate in the opening ceremonies of the relay. Cancer survivors from Jackson County will be honored. Cancer diagnosis affects a large portion of communities within our county. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society research for cancer prevention, detection and treatment. When we return to the line, please ask us about this event and how you can be involved in supporting our community members who have been diagnosed with cancer.
