Event: Diabetes Education Clinic
Description: In association with Texas A&M University with guest speaker Dr. Diana Mercado-Marmarosh. A fully immersive diabetes management education experience. This 8-hour class will include information on goal setting, healthy eating, mental health, foot care, and more. You will also receive blood glucose monitoring and guidance on free or low-cost prescription coverage. This class will take place on the second Thursday of each month and will include a light lunch.
Event: Heartsaver CPR and First Aid
Description: *Class dates subject to change, please call 361-782-7800 for more information. For the safety of our community and staff, everyone will be screened at hospital entrances. Masks are required. Presented by Buster Chase This class, designed for the general public or professionals dealing with young children, will equip you with basic first aid and CPR skills. Held in the Jackson County Hospital Conference Room. Registration Fee: $45* Register by calling: 361-782-7800. Please note that this class does not cover the advanced instruction needed for healthcare providers. Class begins at 6:30 PM
Event: Community Bingo
Description: Presented by Tria Svatek with Southbrooke Manor and Vanessa Tristan, CNA, JCHD Activity Director. Jackson County Hospital Director is providing Community Bingo on the second Tuesday of each month! Enjoy a light lunch and prizes for all bingo winners!
Event: Better Breathers
Description: Those with lung disease and their loved ones are invited to join us on the fourth Monday of each month for this supportive event. A light lunch will be served with a reservation at no charge.
